The On-Time Scheduling system has an integrated system of two-way SMS texting. This channel is useful in several important ways:

  • An SMS text is sent to all team members that have been assigned to the case when the “start surgery” API is pressed.

  • If a team member fails to respond to their text with a “yes” the desk clerk will recieve a non-responder alert.

  • When a surgeon schedules an operation remotely an SMS text is sent automatically to the desk clerks phone. This alerts the desk that a case has been added to the waitlist.

  • Each team member asigned to the case will recieve a text if the surgical case has been recalled.
